Geoff is an artist, musician and creative director who runs Geoff Shell, Inc. – a privately held corporation that does business as Modal Media Group, Geoff Shell Music and Rad Universe. He co-wrote a musical entitled Clara And The Beef that chronicles the life of Clara Peller, the “Where’s The Beef?” lady from the famous 80s TV commercial. He has been described by the Chicago Tribune as ‘a thoughtful and talented musician.’
Geoff’s passions include: curating music for Kaydence, laughing, art projects, classical and jazz piano, composing and arranging, playing 8-bit/16-bit era video games, watching obscure movies on VHS, editing music videos, producing synthwave music, collecting records and cassette tapes, expanding illustration skills, studying typography, Judaism, Buddhism, productivity, creative process, traveling with the family and making Kaydence laugh.
Jessica is a mental health counselor specializing in art therapy and yoga. She founded Sage Willow to provide a holistic experience through therapeutic services-- promoting individual wellness through the use of expressive arts, cognitive-behavioral techniques, yoga and mindfulness practices to facilitate restoration and life satisfaction for children, adolescents and adults.
Jessica's passions include: spending quality time with friends and family, classic rock and jam band concerts, wildlife and nature adventures, yoga, fairytales and angels, Carl Jung analysis, painting, crocheting, writing, crafting, reading historical fiction, Buddhism and Judaism, French Impressionism art, rollerblading, biking, hiking, pizza and warm chocolate chip cookies, making Kaydence give gummy giggles 🙂
Our wedding ceremony will take place on the lawn of Baker House in front of the lake in downtown Lake Geneva at 3:00pm

We were teenagers and it was 1995. Both from Deerfield, Illinois, we were each attending a mutual friend's bat mitzvah party. We danced and discovered we each had a crush on each other. Geoff remembers a pink barrette Jessica had in her hair. Jessica thought Geoff looked like Kurt Cobain. It was the first of many moments the two of our lives would intersect.
It was May 24th, 2010. We went to Scarlet Bar in Chicago for a special screening of a short film Geoff had scored. We played movie trivia and won some fun prizes. We then went out to dinner at Bistro Campagne for French cuisine. Shortly after our first date, we went out of town for our first weekend getaway as a couple. We stayed at what would become one of our favorite places near Lake Geneva, the Lazy Cloud Bed & Breakfast in Fontana, Wisconsin.
It was May 24th, 2015: our 5-year anniversary. We were vacationing in Lake Geneva and were staying at Lazy Cloud Bed & Breakfast. While driving from Fontana to downtown Lake Geneva, Geoff spontaneously pulled over for an impromptu ``photo op`` next to the lake. After bringing Jessica to an ideal spot, Geoff setup his GoPro on a rock, secretly set it to video record, and then leaned over to Jessica while still on one knee. She said yes!
Dorian and Geoff have been friends since 1994 when they were both in middle school. Dorian is the director of Chicago Rot and works with electronic music artist, Pretty Lights.
Samantha is Jessica's younger sister and lifelong best friend. She is also the world's greatest Auntie (according to Kaydence). She is very excited to be a part of Jessica and Geoff's special day!
Noah and Geoff have been friends since 2008 when they played in the first of many bands together. Noah is the founder and music director of Life Rhythms, Inc.
Janine and Jessica met during their freshman year at Deerfield High School and have remained friends ever since!! They bonded over their love for alternative/punk rock, and to this day, they still enjoy seeing live music together.
Denny is going to be Geoff's brother-in-law. They first met in 2011 when they were visiting Lake Tahoe. Denny is the founder of elektron software.
Christina and Jessica became fast friends bonding over Bridesmaid's duties for a common friend's wedding. Kindred spirits who enjoy arts and crafts, exercise, and sunshine, this was a friendship that was meant to be! Christina is honored and delighted to stand by Jessica's side on this most special day.
